Polak Prize for Quentin Danielou

INNOVCARE’s young researchers got talent: one of them, Quentin Danielou, has been awarded the Polak Prize in the third position for his astounding master’s thesis.

Since 2016, this prize has been covering the scientific excellence for French master’s thesis about Japan from an areal or comparative perspective, across all humanities and social sciences disciplines.

With this third prize, Quentin Danielou succesfully highlighted the importance and nature of social bonds supported and promoted by local grassroot neighborhood associations in ageing districts in the Tokyo Metropolitan area. This work analyzes innovations that stem from those resident’s associations in the making of a local care system.

This work refers to a core notion of INNOVCARE, showing that innovation goes well beyond technology and shall not be defined as solely relying on technological definitions and frameworks to deliver care.
